Dedicated beach-lovers head to Kauai for some of the most beautiful and scenic beaches in Hawaii. Kauai beaches comprise more than 140 miles of sandy shores, more than any island in Hawaii. Along the coastline visitors will find more than forty Kauai beaches to choose from creating unrivaled options in the chain of islands. The peacock blue waters create unmatched conditions for underwater activities and are so incredibly clear you'll be able to revel in an aquatic wonderland full of colorful marine animals and sea creatures.

Poipu Beach Kauai is one of the most popular tourist resorts of all the Kauai beaches. Many say this is the best beach on Kauai. Once a clandestine destination, Poipu Beach Kauai features plenty of opportunity for outdoor adventure and is complimented beautifully by stunning natural landscapes, clear waters, ideal weather and fine, sandy beaches.

Three miles south of Koloa, you'll arrive in the Poipu Beach area. Situated on the sunny, south shore of Kauai, Poipu Beach is one of the most enchanting areas in Hawaii. Popular due to its exceptional climate and wonderful beaches, you'll also find an array of resort accommodations, hotels, fabulous restaurants, activity rentals, and opportunities for every kind of island adventure possible. For specific activity information, please visit our Activity Page on this web site. The following services are just a sample of those available in Poipu:

Restaurants: The hardest part about dining in Poipu is choosing where to go. There are at least 24 restaurants! Recently emerging as the "restaurant row" of Kauai, Poipu offers a wide selection of dining choices. Dining experiences extend from super gourmet to ultra casual; from western pacific cuisine to northern Italian; from fresh seafood, to grilled meats and delicious pastas.

Doctors, Pharmacy and Churches: None in Poipu but they all can be found in Koloa, just 3 miles to the north.

Beauty Shops: Each of the two hotels has its own spa and beauty shop located in the hotel and available to the general public.

Farmers Market: You'll find a great open air market right off the bypass road heading from Koloa Town to Poipu. They're open every day with a variety of locally grown fruits, vegetables and wonderful tropical florals.

Shopping Center: The Poipu Shopping Village is home to 30 or more businesses ranging from french boutiques, sandal shops, t-shirt stores, tropical gift shops, wonderful island fashions in a number of shops, and of course, all of those incredible restaurants.

Galleries: At the Poipu Shopping Village there are 2 first-rate art galleries; Wyland Galleries Hawaii, and Coco's Fine Arts.

Island-made Gifts: A variety of retail clothing, art, gifts and jewelry reflecting tropical styles are plentiful, as well as many crafts and products made right here on Kauai can be found at Poipu Shopping Village as well as the unique specialty shops located at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Sheraton Kauai.

Grocery stores: For a variety of sundries from suntan lotion to island souvenirs, there's Whalers General Store in Poipu Shopping Village with a local grocery store, Kukuiula, right down the street for your shopping convenience.

Hotels: Enjoy dining and dancing, exquisite grounds, and the most fabulous Sunday champagne brunches at Poipu's two hotels; the Hyatt Regency Kauai and the Sheraton Kauai.

Poipu is the best place to experience a fabulous and sunny Kauai vacation but be sure to check out the rest of the island. It is small and you can see a lot in one day. You can always return to Poipu when your done. Kauai might be the best place on earth to visit!
